Puffins' First Forest School

Puffins ventured out for their first Forest School session this week. Despite the weather, they embraced everything with enthusiasm and joy, demonstrating impressive resilience. 

We talked about the seasons and looked for signs of spring now that winter is nearly over. We noticed many different things from birds singing to daisies on the field as well as blackthorn flowers and hawthorn leaves in the hedges. 

For most of us it was our first visit to Forest School, so we spent time thinking and talking about specific rules that will keep us safe during our visits as well as ensure we respect the nature residing within the site.

There was also plenty of time to explore and even act out the Three Billy Goats Gruff on the big bridge over the ditch!
