The Wider Curriculum

The national curriculum is made up of eight foundation subjects.

There are two core subjects which are English and maths, but we count science as a core subject. The eight foundation subjects are; Computing, Design Technology, History, Geography, P.E, Art, Modern Foreign Languages and Music. We teach French as our Modern Foreign Language in KS2, introducing it to the children in KS1. Spanish Lessons are offered to all as a lunchtime club.

To organise learning for pupils, and to help them to make sense of the world they live in the majority of learning in Science and  Foundation Subjects is taught in topics.
