Kingfishers at Butser Ancient Farm

Kingfishers were so excited to be finally going on a school trip again.  In class, we have been learning about prehistoric Britain and have so far focused on the Stone Age.  When we went to Butser, we had a tour of the different houses from early Stone Age temporary shelters to late Stone Age permanent houses, then Bronze and Iron Age round houses.  We then learned some Stone Age skills, such as cordage, spinning, jewellery-making and we wattled our own fence.  We even had our lunch sitting around a fire in the round house.  What a great day!
